1. 「書き手」が伝えたいことを「読み手」に正確に伝える
映画の字幕スーパーと違い、技術文書は正確性が求められます。即ち、原文を超える訳文は作れません。書き手の意図を正確に理解し、 文章の組み替え、語句の追加・削除、文章の分割を行ない読み手に伝わり易い訳文とします。
2. 用語や表現の統一に拘る
文書内で同じ行為に異なる用語や単語の表現を使用すると読み手は異なる行為と認識します。例えば、マウスの選択を「クリックする」、 「選択する」、「ボタンを押す」と異なる表現で書くと、読み手はこれら3つの行為は異なる操作と考えます。翻訳文書内では用語・ 単語・表現の統一感が文書の品質を握ります。
3. 平易な表現を用いる
技術文書では、あえて複雑な言い回しや難解な表現、専門用語や和製英語を多用した文章が多く見られます。読み手の誤解を招かないよ うできる限り平易な表現を用いて誤解を招きそうな部分を極力排除する翻訳を目指しています。

当社では以下の施策を行い、より高品質で「読み手」に正確に伝わる翻訳を心掛けています。
1. 「原文訳」の実施
最初に原文を読み込んで「和文和訳」、「英文英訳」を一人で行います。この時、用語や表現の対応表を作成します。
2. 翻訳及びチェック
翻訳は分担します。翻訳完了後は、翻訳の妥当性確認とスペルミス修正のため、翻訳者がチェックを行ないます。
3. 査読
翻訳後の文書全体を通しで読み、訳文の妥当性を確認します。この作業も文書全体を一人の担当が行ないます。
