2022年8月16日 深圳のホテル1・華為ホテル
2005年頃から深圳の華為に通っていたが、華為基地のある坂田(Bantian)は未だ商店や飲食店が殆どない深圳郊外の地域だった。
交通機関も限られていて宿泊や飲食に難儀するのだが、基地内には百草(Baicao)ガーデンと言う宿泊施設がありレストランも併設されていて、
朝食は勿論、夕食も食べることができた。
浴槽がなく娯楽といえばテレビがあるだけでホテルと比較すると見劣りするが、生活には困らない。
ただ、当時の中国はインフラ設備が貧弱で、シャワーを浴びてると足元に水が貯まってきたり、Wi-Fi接続も遅かった。
しかも保証金を預けてWi-Fiルーターをフロントで借りてくる必要があった。
ただ、自社用に宿泊施設やレストランを建ててしまう中国企業に感心してしまった。
Hotel in Shenzhen 1: Huawei Hotels, August 16th, 2022
I've been going to Huawei in Shenzhen since around 2005, but Bantian, where Huawei's base was located,
was still a suburban area of Shenzhen with few shops or restaurants. Transportation was limited,
and it was difficult to find accommodation and food, but there was an accommodation facility called Baicao Garden on the base,
and there was a restaurant attached to it, so I was able to eat not only breakfast but also dinner.
There was no bathtub and the only entertainment was a TV, which pales in comparison to a hotel,
but there was no problem with living. However, the infrastructure in China at that time was poor.
The Wi-Fi connection was not stable and slow, and the water on the shower room floor was not drained quickly.
Moreover, it was necessary to deposit a security deposit and borrow a Wi-Fi router at the front desk.
However, I was impressed by Chinese companies that built accommodation facilities and restaurants for their own use.
