2022年8月1日 ホテルのWi-Fi考
成都の定宿だった天悦飯店(Tianyue Hotel)だが、最初の出張では違うホテルに宿泊した。
ただここではWi-Fiはあるものの非常に不安定で、一晩に数分だけ時間もランダムにつながるのみだった。
中国人の友人に頼んで代わりのホテルを探してもらい天悦飯店(Tianyue Hotel)に行き着いた。
Wi-Fiはかくも重要な要素なのだが、日本でも同じ経験をした。昔からリッチモンドホテルを使っておりネット接続も問題なかったが、
ホテルのネット環境を一新した途端、ネット接続が不安定となり接続できない時間が大幅に増えた。
Wi-Fiの電波を疑いケーブルで接続してみても症状は同じ。
しかも特定のホテルではなく他のリッチモンドホテルでも同じ症状であった。それ以来、ここに泊まるのをやめた。
Thoughts on hotel Wi-Fi, August 1st, 2022
I used to stay at Tianyue Hotel in Chengdu, but I stayed at a different hotel on my first business trip.
However, although there was Wi-Fi here, it was very unstable and only randomly connects for a few minutes per night.
I asked a Chinese friend to find an alternative hotel and ended up at the Tianyue Hotel.
Wi-Fi is such an important factor, and I had the same experience in Japan.
I have been using the Richmond Hotel for a long time and had no problems with the internet connection,
but as soon as the hotel changed the internet environment at some point,
the internet connection became unstable and the time I could not connect increased significantly.
The symptoms were the same even if I tried to connect with a cable by suspecting for Wi-Fi.
Moreover, it was the same symptom not at a specific hotel but at other Richmond hotels.
Since then I have stopped staying here.
