2022年7月23日 餃子パーティ
中国人上司の日本滞在用の寮に何度か食事に招かれた。しかも、作るところからの体験型餃子パーティである。
餡は日本と大きな違いはないが皮も手作りである。この皮の製作だが、小型の麺棒のようなもので薄く延ばしていくのだが、
なかなか丸くならないし厚みも均一にならない。それでも短時間に200個近い餃子を準備した。
調理はと言えば茹でた水餃子を醤油ベースのたれで食べるもの一択だ。味が単調なので余り多くは食べられない。
日本人だと焼餃子やだしの効いたスープで煮込む等の工夫をしそうだが本場中国では水餃子のみらしい。
餃子を作り白酒(Baichu)を飲みながら食すと言う経験をさせてもらった。やはり本場のものは一味違って至福の時を過ごした。
Gyoza (Chinese dumpling) party, July 23rd, 2022
I was invited to dinner several times at the dormitory where my Chinese boss was staying in Japan.
Moreover, it is a hands-on gyoza party from the making. The filling is not much different from that in Japan,
but the skin is also handmade. To make this skin, I use something like a small rolling pin to roll it out thinly,
but it doesn't roll well and doesn't have a uniform thickness. Even so, we prepared nearly 200 gyozas in a short time.
Speaking of cooking, only the method of cooking is to eat boiled gyoza with a soy sauce-based sauce.
The taste was monotonous, so I could not eat too much.
Japanese people tend to try things like pan-fried gyoza or boiled them in a soup stock, but in China,
the home of gyoza, only boiled dumplings are available.
I had the experience of making dumplings and eating them while drinking Baichu. After all,
the authentic one was a little different from the imitated dish, and I spent a blissful time.
