長期出張では洗濯問題は切実だ。シャツやスーツはホテルのクリーニングを頼めるが、これが曲者で仕上がったスーツに数日後にはカビが生え始めたりする。
五つ星ホテルでもだ。急いで除菌剤をスプレーするが消えない。
日本に帰ってから再びクリーニングに出したがカビは取り切れず、結局、スーツ1着がカビだらけになった。
下着類や靴下は浴槽洗いに慣れてしまった。従って荷物に洗剤を入れておくことが必須だ。ただ、乾燥には苦労する。
どんなに外が晴れていても部屋干しのため乾きが悪い。タオルで水分を吸い取っても乾くまでに1日以上かかる。
その点、成都の天悦飯店(Tianyue Hotel)のスチーム暖房は便利だった。ただし、冬季に限られるのだが …

Laundry is a serious issue on long business trips. Shirts and suits can be cleaned at the hotel.
But it is a quite troublesome, sometimes mold starts to grow on the finished suit after a few days.
Even in a five-star hotel. I quickly sprayed with a disinfectant, but it did not disappear.
After returning to Japan, I sent it to the dry cleaners again, but the mold could not be removed,
and in the end, one suit was full of mold.
I got used to washing my underwear and socks in the bathtub. Therefore, it is essential to have detergent in my luggage.
However, it has a hard time drying. No matter how sunny it is outside, it is difficult to dry because it is dried indoors.
Even if you use a towel to absorb the water, it will take more than a day to dry.
In that respect, the steam heating at the Tianyue Hotel in Chengdu was convenient. But only in winter...
