日本のホテルでの香りへの気遣いは、と言うと、総じて悪臭はしないが積極的に香りへの気遣いを行っているところは決して多くない気がする。
三井ガーデンホテルなどは積極的にアロマの香りを活用している。一方、カビ臭い(特にエレベーター)ホテルはある、
しかも四つ星ホテルにも係わらずだ。
香水のようにむせ返るような香りを振りまく必要はないし、そのようなものは迷惑なのであるが、
悪臭や様々なもののにおいが混じった環境は決して快適とは言い難い。ほのかにアロマの香りがするような環境が理想的だが、
少なくとも接客業である限り、カビ臭い、生乾き雑巾のような匂いはさすがに不快感を覚えるが気にし過ぎ、わがままだろうか。

When it comes to consideration for scents in Japanese hotels,
I don't think there are many hotels that actively care about scents,
although they generally don't smell bad. Mitsui Garden Hotel and others are actively using aroma scents.
On the other hand, there are hotels that smell musty (especially elevators) even four-star hotels.
It's not necessary to spread a choking scent like perfume, and that kind of thing is annoying,
but it's hard to say that an environment with bad odors and various smells is comfortable.
An environment with a faint scent of aroma is ideal,
but at least as far as the customer service industry is concerned,
the musty smell and the smell of a half-dried rag make me feel uncomfortable, but am I too selfish?
