2022年5月12日 機上のワイン、最高記録
メルボルンからマニラまでのフライトはフィリピン航空だった。隣席はオーストラリアのコンサル会社経営者。
食事が済んでポートワインとデザートに入った頃に話が始まった。
お互い何処に行く? 仕事は何?から始まり共通の話題もあって段々話が盛り上がるしワインも進む。
彼もワイン好きらしく2杯、3杯とグラスが空いていく。
その度にアテンダントが注ぎに来るのだがグラスが空になるまで10分ももたない。
とうとう隣の彼が、「ボトルごと置いて行って」と頼んでボトルを挟んで話が弾み、そのボトルも空になり、2本目、3本目と進んでいく。
とうとう5本目を空けたところで2人とも眠ってしまった。これは自身の機上飲みの最高記録だ。
On-board wine, best record, May 12th, 2022
The flight from Melbourne to Manila was with Philippine Airlines.
The next seat is the manager of an Australian consulting company.
After finishing the meal,
we started talking about various topics starting from where are you going to and what business you do with port wine and dessert.
He seemed to like wine too, and two or three glasses are vacant. Attendants came to pour each time,
but it took less than 10 minutes for the glass to empty. At last, he next to me asked,
"Please give the whole bottle," and we talked over the bottles of wine, and the bottle was emptied,
and the second and third bottles proceeded. At last, both of us fell asleep when we opened the fifth one.
This was the best record of my own on-board drinking.
