2022年3月7日 通路側と窓側が同じシートの小型機
小型機と言えばロスアンジェルスからサンディエゴへのフライトもそうだった。アメリカンイーグルと言うアメリカン航空の子会社なのだが、
エアコミューターと言う通り飛行機による通勤用と言うことだろう。気流にもまれる機体の様子はアメリカンイーグルと言うよりアメリカンモスキートと言う感じだ。
1時間もかからないし低空を飛ぶので地上の様子が良く見える。
チェックインではいつも通り「通路側」と指定したのだが、座席は2席と1席に別れた1列3席で、1席側の席で恥をかいた。
機内サービスと言えば袋入りのポテトチップと缶コーラだった。それでも機内は満席で、200kmくらいの距離であるが、
ここを毎日のように往復する人がいるのだろう。何となく日米の国力の差を感じた次第である。

Speaking of small aircraft, so was the flight from Los Angeles to San Diego.
It's a subsidiary of American Airlines called American Eagle, but as it is called an air commuter,
it's probably for commuting by plane. The appearance of the aircraft caught in the airflow is more like an American mosquito
than an American Eagle. It took less than an hour to fly low, so I could see the ground well.
At check-in, I designated it as "aisle side" as usual, but the seats were 3 seats in a row divided into 2 seats and 1 seat,
and I was embarrassed by the seat on the one seat side. Speaking of in-flight services,
they were packed French flies and canned cola. Even so, the cabin was full and the distance was about 200km,
but there might be people who made a round trip here on a daily basis.
Somehow I felt the difference in national power between Japan and the United States.
