2022年1月15日 初海外出張はアルジェリア!!
思い返せば初海外出張はアルジェリアだった。当時の欧米行きの便は全てアンカレッジ経由で16時間くらいかけてフランスまで行ってパリに1泊し、翌朝にアルジェに向かった。
アルジェ空港のバゲージクレームでスーツケースを待ってると車のタイヤが4本流れていたが、駐在員事務所長によると物資の不足するアルジェリアでは驚くことではなく、
フランスから必要なものを調達してくるのだとか。なるほどと納得してしまった。
当時のアルジェリアは決して政治的に安定しているとは言えなかったが、イスラム国が勢力を伸ばす今日のように危険ではなかった。
泥棒やスリ等の犯罪は多発していたようだが、イスラム教を信仰する人々は親近感を感じさせた。
The first overseas business trip is Algeria!!, January 15th, 2022
Looking back, my first overseas business trip was Algeria.
All flights to Europe and the United States at that time took long hours via Alaska, and I flied to France via Anchorage,
for 16 hours and stayed overnight in Paris, and headed for Algiers the next morning.
When I was waiting for my suitcase at the baggage claim at Algiers Airport, four car tires were flowing,
but according to the representative office manager, it was not surprising in Algeria where supplies were scarce,
and people brought what they needed from France. And then, I understood the situation.
Algeria at the time was by no means politically stable, but it was not as dangerous as it is today as the Islamic State gains power.
It seemed that crimes such as thieves and pickpockets were frequent, but people who believed in Islam felt a sense of intimacy.
