米国出張時はダラス近郊の安宿に泊まるのが常だったが、夜のうちに朝食時間と人数を書いた札を部屋のドアノブに下げておくと、
その時間に朝食を部屋の前に置いてくれるサービスがあった。単にシナモンロールが2個とコーヒーだけの朝食なのだが、
わざわざレストランまでいく必要がなくパソコンに向かいながら食べられるので時間の節約にもなり、これはこれで便利なサービスだった。
毎日、朝食がシナモンロールとなる訳だが、幸い、1年365日同じ献立でも問題のないほど食に拘りがないので苦にならなかった。
今でもシナモンロールの香りで当時のことを思い出す。先般、久し振りにシナモンロールを食べる機会があり当時を思い出してしまった。

When I was on a business trip to the United States, I used to stay at a cheap inn near Dallas. In this inn,
if I put down a tag with breakfast time and number of people on the doorknob of the room at night,
the breakfast left in front of the room at that time. There was a service that gave me.
It was just a breakfast with two cinnamon rolls and coffee,
but it saves time because I can eat while heading to your computer without having to go to the restaurant,
which was a convenient service.
Breakfast was cinnamon rolls every day, but fortunately, I didn't have to worry about the food even if I had the same menu 365 days a year.
I still remember those days with the scent of cinnamon rolls. Recently, I had the opportunity to eat cinnamon rolls for the first time in a long time,
and I remembered those days.
