2021年11月7日 おつまみザリガニ
20年以上前の南京での出来事。友人と2人で火鍋レストランに入った。程なくオーダーしたビールとザリガニの入った鍋が出てきた。
ビールを飲みながら友人との話に夢中になってるとザリガニが赤く茹で上がった。このザリガニをバリバリと食べながら友人と話し続けた。
暫くしてオーダーしてないことに気付いたが会話は弾んだ。鍋のザリガニが無くなりビールも3本目に差し掛かった頃には2人とも満腹だった。
会計を済ませて店を出たが、店員の怪訝な顔が気になった。お気付きとは思うが、そのレストランはビュッフェ形式の火鍋(中国流の自助火鍋)
で好きな具材を自分で持ってくる必要があったのだ。そしてわれわれが食べたザリガニは出汁用だった。
Crayfish as an appetizer, November 7th, 2021
What happened in Nanjing over 20 years ago. I went to a hot pot restaurant with my friend. Soon ordered beer and a pot of water
with crayfish in it came out. When I was absorbed in talking with my friend while drinking beer, the crayfish boiled red.
We kept talking while eating red crayfishes.
After a while we realized that we hadn't ordered, but we kept talking. By the time we ate up the crayfishes in the pot and the three
bottles of beer were almost empty, both of us were almost full. We left the restaurant after finishing the checkout,
but I was worried about the suspicious face of the clerk. As you may have noticed, the restaurant had to bring the favorite ingredients
in a buffet style hot pot (Chinese style self-service hot pot). And the crayfishes we ate were for broth.
